What are your assignments?

– Identifying and correctly apprehending clients’ objectives/requirements to be handled;

– Researching and analyzing information/legal documents in depth to obtain necessary legal grounds;

– Preparing and providing legal advice to the client’s satisfaction on aspects of Vietnam laws (commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate, investment, real estate etc.);

– Preparing, drafting, reviewing agreements, contracts, MOU, legal due diligence, internal corporate documents (i.e. charters, internal policies and other corporate documents), and other legal documents at the request of the clients;

– Handling the assigned work of contract, M&A, investment and corporate, including directly meeting and working with the clients and third parties;

– Liaising with government authorities to deal with the client’s requirements as well as to follow up the ongoing cases;

– Building up close working relationships with government authorities;

– Assisting partners in business development and internal matters;

– Supervising and training junior associate(s);

– Participating in the promotion activities and business development programs of the firm in any appropriate ways and means;

– Performing other assignments as delegated by partners from time to time;

Qualifications and Requirements

– Holding a BA or other equivalent degree in Law. Overseas study or a master degree in Law is preferred;

– Holding the lawyer card;

– Fluent in English (both spoken and written). Speaking Japanese is an advantage but not a must;

– Having at least 6 years of working experience with local and/or foreign law firms and/or as in-house lawyer in charge of transactions, contract, corporate, M&A (including at least 3 years working in a law firm);

– Having logical thinking, good analytic, strong presentation and negotiating skills;

– Being dynamic, responsible and priority minded;

– Being able to work independently and under pressure of deadlines.
