Dr. Le Minh Phieu Shares Insights on Legal Risk Management for Founders and CEOs at CEO MasterClass

Recently, Dr. Le Minh Phieu, Managing Partner of LMP Lawyers, participated as a speaker at CEO MasterClass, where he shared practical insights on corporate governance, legal risk management, and key lessons for founders and business leaders.

During the session, Dr. Phieu drew upon more than 24 years of legal practice advising both domestic and international businesses, as well as his experience in handling numerous M&A transactions, commercial disputes, and corporate governance matters.

According to Dr. Phieu, in practice, many businesses only seek legal assistance after problems have already arisen or disputes have already escalated. While some legal issues can still be resolved, there are many situations in which decisions or actions taken earlier have created consequences that are difficult—or even impossible—to reverse, resulting in significant losses for businesses, investors, and founders.

For this reason, identifying legal risks early and establishing an appropriate governance framework from the outset are critical to the sustainable growth of any business. Dr. Phieu emphasized that the role of a lawyer is not limited to resolving disputes or managing crises after they occur. Equally important is helping businesses prevent risks and make informed decisions before problems arise.

The session attracted a large number of founders, CEOs, and business executives, who actively engaged in discussions on practical issues relating to corporate governance, management responsibilities, fundraising, legal structures, and common risks encountered in the course of operating a business.

One of the most meaningful moments for Dr. Phieu came after the session, when several participants shared that the insights discussed during the program could significantly change the way they approach building and managing their businesses, and perhaps even influence important decisions that may shape the course of their lives.

Reflecting on the session, Dr. Le Minh Phieu commented:

“I do not expect people to remember every legal provision or regulation. What I hope is that entrepreneurs can identify major risks early, strengthen their governance, and avoid mistakes that may later become extremely difficult—or impossible—to correct, regardless of how much time or resources they invest.”

LMP Lawyers would like to express its sincere appreciation to PSO for organizing such a meaningful program, and to all participants for their thoughtful questions, active engagement, and valuable contributions to the discussion.

At LMP Lawyers, we firmly believe that effective risk prevention not only helps businesses reduce the costs associated with disputes and legal issues, but also protects enterprise value and creates a strong foundation for long-term, sustainable growth.
